What we mean by spa and beauty uniforms

Most of the spa and beauty clients we work with are after one of a few things: a soft tunic for therapists and beauticians, a wrap-style top for hairdressers, an apron for anyone doing colour or messy treatments, or a simple polo for reception and front-of-house staff. Some clinics like everyone in the same tunic. Others put therapists in tunics, stylists in aprons over their own clothes, and front desk in polos, so each role looks a little different while still feeling like one business. There's no single correct uniform for a spa. It depends on what your staff actually do all day, and we usually talk that through with you before recommending anything.

Why subtle branding suits this industry

A tradie on a job site wants a logo you can read from across the yard. A spa or salon wants the opposite. Clients are standing close, often having a conversation, sometimes lying down for a treatment, and a big printed logo across the chest feels out of place in that setting. What tends to work is a small embroidered logo on the chest or collar, sometimes in a single thread colour that blends with the fabric rather than contrasting against it. Embroidery reads as a step up from a printed shirt, and it holds its shape and colour through repeated washing far better than a large print does, which matters for a garment worn several days a week. If your logo has fine detail or several colours in a small space, DTF can be a better fit than embroidery, and we'll tell you honestly which method will actually look good at that size.

Fabric and comfort for a long day on your feet

Spa and salon work is physical in a way people don't always expect. Therapists are standing, bending and moving for most of a shift, often in a warm treatment room, and the uniform needs to hold up without looking wilted by mid-afternoon. The brands we stock, including Biz Collection, Biz Corporates and NNT, cover this end of the market with tunics and separates built with some stretch and breathable fabric, cut to move with the body rather than restrict it. Because staff are working in close contact with clients, the fabric also has to feel pleasant, not stiff or scratchy, and needs to wash well since these garments go through the laundry constantly.

Keeping a small team looking consistent

Most spas and salons are small teams, sometimes just one or two people, and that's exactly where uniforms tend to get overlooked because ordering feels like more effort than it's worth for three or four shirts. We don't have a minimum order quantity, so whether you need one tunic for yourself or twelve for a full clinic, the process is the same. Your logo is digitised once by our team and kept on file, so every tunic, apron or polo you order, this year or in three years, carries exactly the same logo at exactly the same size.

How ordering and reordering works

You send us your logo, or tell us what you're after if you don't have one ready, and we digitise it in-house. From there we talk through garment style, brand and colour, get you a quote, and once you approve the artwork we get to work. Turnaround is typically 2 to 7 business days from that approval, depending on the size of the order and what else is in the queue. When a new staff member joins, or you just need to top up stock, reordering is quick because your logo file is already sitting ready to go.
